Tim Berta Courage Award

Tim Berta was originally honored into the Toledo Wistert chapter Hall of Fame in 2002 as a Student Athlete from Ida High School.  As Tim continued his education at Bluffton University, he was involved in the horrific bus crash in Atlanta involving the Bluffton baseball team that took the lives of seven teammates. Tim suffered severe injuries, but true to his spirit he overcame many of the injuries and he has remained a part of the NFF Toledo/Wistert chapter. The Courage Award recognizes athletes that display extraordinary courage and inspiration in how they play the game of football.  This award is annually presented by Tim Berta.
