The Toledo/Wistert chapter of the National Football Foundation will hold a ceremony held next spring in downtown Toledo honoring senior football players throughout the northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan region.

ATTENTION: Head Football Coach & Athletic Director

We have converted the Student Athlete Award application to an automated process, which is available on this page. Submit your players application here, which will submit directly to the NFF Scholar Athlete Award Selection committee. The selection committee will review applications that are complete and nominated by area high school head coaches and athletic directors. Please use the information below as a guide for nominating your seniors.

  1. Must be a senior.
  2. Must have at least a 3.4 GPA or higher based upon a 4.0 grading scale. Attach transcript to this document. Please DO NOT submit applicants GPA based upon any other scale.
  3. ALL-League (1st or 2nd team), All-District, All-Region or any State or National recognition.
  4. A record of Community, School or Church Service.

The Deadline for all applications is Wednesday, January 8 (FIRM) due to time constraints. Applications will be reviewed, and selected nominees will be contacted in February. The NFF Toledo/Wistert chapter also awards recognition for an Assistant Coach Award, Volunteer Junior League Coach Award, and the Tim Berta Courage Award. If you have a member of your staff worthy of consideration, please review the description under the AWARDS tab for these three categories, which are listed on the website and submit your recommendation(s) by January 8.
