TRENT BRODBECK ATTENDS NFF CAMPBELL TROPHY SUMMIT

The National Football Foundation – Campbell Trophy Summit was held July 25-27 at Stanford University.

The Campbell Trophy is named in honor of William Campbell, a former NFF National Director and former CEO & Chairman of Intuit. The Trophy is awarded each year to the nation’s top football player that excels on the field, in the classroom and in their community. During the Summit, attendees hear presentations from industry leaders that will aid their personal growth.  The NFF-Toledo/Wistert chapter was honored to have current Director, Trent Brodbeck attend the Campbell Summit.  Trent was nominated by his alma mater, Wayne State University where he was a standout defensive end in 2016. Trent is front & center in the attached picture.  Congratulations to NFF-Toledo Director – Trent Brodbeck.

2023 NFF MENTAL HEALTH LEADERSHIP SUMMIT

The Toledo/Wistert chapter of the NFF hosted a Mental Health Leadership Summit on November 7 at The Pinnacle in Maumee. Attending were 37 high schools from throughout the region, that sent 6 representatives: (4) male/female – junior/senior student athletes; a guidance counselor and an administrator. University of Toledo – Head Football Coach – Jason Candle welcomed the group via video and was followed by Brad Bush of the MHSAA and 6 representatives of health care organizations covering a variety of topics and resource material. The goal was to increase mental health awareness to the participants, that they will take back to their schools and communities as NFF Mental Health Champions.

2023 NFF Golf Outing

Over 100 golfers and support staff enjoyed a great day at The Legacy Golf Club on Friday morning June 16 for the 5th Annual NFF Golf Outing.  Golfers enjoyed a continental breakfast courtesy of The Pinnacle as they registered for the morning’s events. There were skill contests on 8 different holes and the top two teams were awarded NFF / Toledo Chapter wearables.

First Place (winning NFF Wind shirts): Pat Gucciardo, Sr., Pat Gucciardo, Jr., AJ Gucciardo & John Sparagowski.

Second Place (winning NFF Golf Polo’s): Bill Axe, Chris Barnhart, Mike Pietras, John Wade.

The Awards Lunch in the Legacy tent followed play on the course and featured the 50/50 drawing and LIVE auction for (4) Huntington Center suite tickets to the Jason Aldean concert this fall. A BIG THANK YOU to our team of volunteers, 58 Sponsors and all the Golfers for making the day a success.  Mark your calendars to join us at The Legacy on Friday – June 21, 2024.
