Our purpose is to promote and develop the power of amateur football in developing the qualities of leadership, sportsmanship and competitive zeal and drive for academic excellence in America’s young people, as well as, recognizing the contributions of coaches, officials and those in the community that have distinguished themselves to the game of football.
Each year the Wistert Chapter of the National Football Foundation recognizes senior high school Scholar Athletes that have attained a minimum 3.2 GPA; been voted to an all-conference, all-district or all-state football team; and have a documented record of community service. In recent years, the scholarships have annually reached $25,000.00.
There are several ways in which you may support the work of the National Football Foundation.
Unrestricted Gifts
General unrestricted gifts to the Foundation are the greatest need. They provide long-term financial flexibility and enable us to prepare and respond to future needs of the organization.
Scholarship Endowment Program
The Scholarship will be presented in the name of the donor or on behalf of an organization. You or a representative will be introduced and acknowledged at the annual Scholar Athlete Awards Dinner, where you will also receive a plaque, two or four complimentary tickets (depending upon the level of giving) and you or the organization will be listed as the donor in the printed Awards Program.
A bequest in your will
This is a simple way to leave a lasting legacy to the game of football and the Foundation, dedicated to its lasting benefit.
A life insurance policy
You can amend a policy to name the Foundation as the owner and/or beneficiary.
